Sunday's episode of The Walking Dead introduced a brand new mystery when a helicopter flew above Rick Grimes but revealed the answer to the "Whose it it?" question earlier in the same hour.

Spoilers for The Walking Dead Episode 8x05 follow!

While meeting in the Sanctuary, Negan and the Saviors were trying to decide what to do about the alliance between the Kingdom, Hilltop, and Alexandria communities prior to Rick's heavily armed arrival at their front door. After Gregory suggested banishing people from his community who support such a cause, Negan's right hand man Simon had a suggestion of his own which may have revealed the helicopter to belong to the Saviors.

Suggesting a "thick and veiny show of force" backing Gregory's leader ship, Simon's fallback to enforce order on the Hilltop was to "send a flier" and kill everyone there who doesn't listen. Of course, Negan shot the idea down, but that's not what's important. Simon wanted to send a "flier."

Few people in the real world refer to helicopters as "fliers" but, at the same time, no one called zombies "walkers" or "biters" until The Walking Dead's mythology introduced such terms. The unconventional dialect among the Saviors leaves all the more reason to believe the Saviors have a helicopter and are waiting to use it.

The possibility remains that the helicopter belongs to an unidentified group fans and characters are yet to meet, which might make fans of the AMC series happier in the long run by providing a feeling similar to early episodes. There is also a chance the helicopter belongs to the game changing new group coming to The Walking Dead comics in the next few issues.
