They'll be bitter rivals on The Walking Dead when the AMC series returns for its seventh series in October but off-set it looks like Daryl Dixon and Negan actors Norman Reedus and Jeffrey Dean Morgan are having a good time together.
In a new photo posted to Reedus' Instagram page, the two actors are having some fun looking at Rick actor Andrew Lincoln's new cover for The Rake magazine. There is no caption accompanying the photo but Reedus and Morgan's faces say more than enough.
Naturally, speculation over Negan's kill from the season six cliffhanger will follow with this picture's posting. "Reedus and Morgan are still together in Georgia? Daryl must be alive!" yell the fans. This photo doesn't necessarily mean anything about Daryl's fate on The Walking Dead for a couple of reasons. First, there is no location or date on the photo. Also, Reedus has repeated how close he and the rest of the cast are, so even if his character were to be killed off, there's a chance he would hang around the set with his buddies.
If anything, this could be an indication that Daryl was killed to conclude Negan's introduction. The actors have previously said that they distanced themselves from Morgan in anticipation of shooting Negan's entrance and met Negan before they met Jeffrey. If Reedus is willing to cozy up with The Walking Dead's biggest villain actor, it may mean his Daryl Dixon character is no longer with us!
On the contrary, Reedus recently said that if Daryl were to be killed off, he would ignite the riots promised by hundreds of fans. Seeing as there are no riots, Daryl may be safe.
Who knows! We'll have to wait until The Walking Dead returns in October to find out.
