Who Is The New Group On The Walking Dead?
WARNING: This Article Contains MAJOR SPOILERS For the latest episode of The Walking Dead - 'Rock In The Road'!
As if The Walking Dead didn't have enough moving parts, the midseason premiere 'Rock in The Road' added one more group into the mix.
At the end of tonight's episode, Rick and the crew walked into a bit of a trap. As the entered a clearing, they were immediately surrounded by a group of people no one had seen before.
Who are these people?
First of all, we haven't seen them on the show before. That's a certainty. This group is brand new, and consists of characters fans have never had the chance to meet.
This group is not only new to the show, but they don't exist in the comics either. Aside from the Hilltop and the Kingdom, Rick doesn't have any more help in the war with Negan.
It's likely that this new group is the one that fans - as well as the producers - have been talking about for some time now.
There were rumors about a group that resided in a junk yard, and that looks to be where Rick is being held up now. The style of the people seen here also matches up with the man who was watching Rick and Alexandria in the midseason finale. Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman teased that the man was from a group we still have yet to meet, so that would seem to line up with the rumors.

There's no telling how this group will factor in to the war on Negan, but their living situation says they don't have much to lose. It's safe to say these people could be huge allies to Rick in the near future.
