‘Riverdale’ Fans React to “The Midnight Club” Flashback Episode

Riverdale went back to the 90s tonight in “The Midnight Club” and fans have a lot to say about it.

To find out more about Gryphons and Gargoyles, Riverdale gave fans a full on flashback to when the parents of the town’s most popular students were attending Riverdale High themselves. That’s right, the episode drops into the 90s and shows how the parents end up first in Saturday detention and, later, forever changed by the mysterious death of Principal Featherhead and its connection to the mysterious role playing game.

From the various actors playing teen versions of their character’s parents to shocking reveals to the music and 90s fashion woven through the episode, fans of The CW series had a lot of strong reactions and were quick to share them on social media. While the reactions were overwhelmingly positive, there were also a few complaints about the silent appearance of one fan-favorite actor as well as quite a few more questions about what it all means.
