Marvel Teases Guardians Of The Galaxy Animated Series Announcements

The Marvel Entertainment Twitter account is teasing announcements concerning the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy animated series this week.

We know very little about the series so far, besides that it will be something of a spiritual sequel to the film. The announcements could be anything from naming a premiere date, or slating the show's regular Disney XD time slot, to casting or writer/director reveals.

The Guardians of the Galaxy animated series has been rumored to be in development for some time, but was officially announced at New York Comic Con in 2014. Marvel also released some test footage of the series in progress.
