Marvel Studios has released a new teaser image for the Daredevil Netflix series that seems to hint at the possibility of Absorbing Man making an appearance.

The image is of a flyer for a boxing match between Carl "Crusher" Creel and "Battlin'" Jack Murdock. The former is the alias of the Absorbing Man, and the latter is the name of Matt Murdock's father.

Whether or not we'll see the fight depends on just how far back in Matt Murdock's history the Daredevil series picks up. It does provide the first connection we've seen between Marvel's ABC television and Netflix television endeavors, as Absorbing Man made an appearance early in the second season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

We know from the comics that, as an adult, Matt struggles with his relationship and sense of debt he harbors towards his father, after his father's death. Perhaps the Absorbing Man's metahuman abilities, if used during his showdown with Battlin' Jack, are responsible for Jack Murdock's demise.

Daredevil will premiere on Netflix on April 10.
