Who Are The New Spider-Men In All-New, All Different Marvel?

Will a new Spider-Man swing into the All-New, All-Different Marvel Universe after Secret Wars?

Based on what Marvel Editor-In-Chief Axel Alonso has said so far, our spider-senses are tingling in the affirmative. When Marvel announced earlier this week that they would relaunch their entire publishing line after Secret Wars with new No. 1 issues, new story arcs, and new characters, they also released a new image that included classic and Ultimate Spider-Man. Many figured that Peter Parker and Miles Morales, respectively, were underneath those masks, but Alonso's comments suggest that fans shouldn't be so hasty in their assumptions.

As Mashable reported from their interview with Alonso, All-New, All-Different Marvel would feature not just "an entirely new Spider-Man," but possibly multiple.

So, could there be a new face behind one of those masks? Based on Marvel's "All-New, All-Different Avengers" preview from Free Comic Book Day, Miles will indeed remain a wall-crawler. In the comic, Captain America refers to Spider-Man as "Miles," and we see him use his unique camouflage powers. That just leaves Peter Parker, who, for all fans know at this point, could be as good as the Comics Code Authority once Secret Wars' dust settles.

It doesn't help that writer Dan Slot, who's writing the web-slinger's main Secret Wars saga, "Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows," billed his book as "the last Spider-Man story" in an EW interview earlier this year. Then again, it's possible that that particular version of Spider-Man--the married man with a child--will be the only Peter Parker to survive Secret Wars. He would certainly qualify as an "entirely new" Spider-Man. Or, heck, maybe good old Ben Reilly will finally get his shot at wearing the classic Spidey duds.
