Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 Is Both A Bigger And Smaller Movie According To James Gunn

With Ant-Man coming to theaters soon, there’s bound to be some talk about size, scale and scope in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Today, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn surprised fans in becoming the one to deliver such talk.

Saying it’s a “more emotional movie” than its immediate predecessor, Gunn told Collider at the Saturn Awards.

“It’s going to be exciting,” Gunn said. “I think it’s a more emotional movie; it’s both a bigger movie and a smaller movie because we focus more intensely on the characters.”

Guardians of the Galaxy 2is due in theaters in 2017.
