Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) got his own films; a solo Gambit film starring Channing Tatum is in the works, but at no point has Fox made an attempt at a Storm (aka Ororo Munroe) solo film. Would Halle Berry, who played the weather manipulating mutant in the previous X-Men films, even be interested in such a project?

"In a heartbeat," Berry gushed to Deadline when asked if she would do a Storm movie. "In a heartbeat I would do a Storm movie. I love that character through and through. So if that ever became an opportunity for me if it's before I'm 65-years old I would absolutely do that."

The Oscar-winning actress is only 48-years-old, so she has some time. Now that we know she has interest, it is up to the fans to speak up like they did with Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool. "If the fans want that the fans need to speak up and I'm sure it would be a possibility," she added. "If Fox felt like they could make money off of a Storm movie I'm sure they would do it."

Audiences will be introduced to a much younger version of Storm when they next see her. Bryan Singer's cast Alexandra Shipp, 23, in X-Men: Apocalypse. The film is set in 1983, so it makes sense to replace Berry with someone younger, but that doesn't mean Berry can't come back for an X-Men film set in the present...or the future!

X-Men: Apocalypse opens May 27, 2016.
