Yesterday, it was revealed that James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 would be the first film to shoot using a RED Weapon 8K camera.

8K means about nine times the resolution of 1080p HD. It means the production team can zoom in up to nine times whatever is in the frame and still be perfectly in focus with high definition quality.

Gunn took to Facebook to explain the decision after receiving so many questions.

Of course, that third and final point at the bottom of Gunn's list of reasons makes us wonder what he could be shooting in a space too tight for one of the hefty film cameras.
