The Flash is coming to Earth-2 with a high speed confrontation in mind. In an interview with EW.com,The Flash's executive producer Andrew Kreisberg teased what was ahead for the Scarlet Speedster when the hit CW show returns tomorrow. When asked about the Flash's next confrontation with Zoom, the deadly speedster antagonizing our heroes this season, Kreisberg said "I'll tease that it might not take place on our Earth."

In the TV series, Zoom hails from Earth-2, an alternate world inhabited by Jay Garrick and dopplegangers of many characters from the show. Kreisberg added that at some point during the season, the Flash and his allies will decide to bring the fight to Zoom, leading to them traveling to the alternate universe.

He also noted that at least some of The Flash's characters will encounter their dopplegangers face to face. "Some of these people are beyond different," Kreisberg said. "What's so interesting is that you've got Wells, who is probably the most similar to himself — the one that we saw last year and this one. They seem different until you start seeing the crazy differences between all of our other cast members. Then he's the one who doesn't seem quite so different and crazy anymore."

The Flash has shown us brief glimpses of Earth-2 this season, mainly from the eyes of Jay Garrick and the Earth-2 version of Harrison Wells, whose daughter is held captive by Zoom. At least one upcoming episode, featuring Killer Frost and Deathstorm, will at least partially take place on the alternate world.

The Flash returns on Tuesday, January 19, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
