Some big name actors are joining DC's animated movie universe. Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, Daredevil) and Taissa Farmiga (American Horror Story) are among the bigger names involved with Justice League vs. Teen Titans, a new animated movie out this spring on Blu-Ray and DVD. The new movie, which is set in the world of previous DC animated films like Justice League: War and Batman vs. Robin, will pit the Teen Titans against a Trigon possessed Justice League. Bernthal will play Trigon, while Farmiga will play Raven, Trigon's daughter and a member of the Teen Titans. Other Titans confirmed to appear in the movie include Beast Boy, Starfire, Blue Beetle, Cyborg and Nightwing.
Reprising their roles from previous DC animated movies are Jason O'Mara as Batman, Rosario Dawson as Wonder Woman, Shemar Moore as Cyborg, Jerry O'Connell as Superman, Christopher Gorham as the Flash, Sean Astin as Nightwing and Stuart Allen as Robin. Jake T. Austin, Kari Wahlgren and Brandon Soo Hoo have also joined the cast as Blue Beetle, Starfire and Beast Boy respectively. Sam Liu will direct Justice League vs. Teen Titans, while James Tucker will act as supervising producer.
Bernthal's role as Trigon will be his third comic book role since 2010. Bernthal gained acclaimed for his take on Shane on the first two seasons of The Walking Dead, and he's about to appear as the Punisher in Netflix's Daredevil (and a potential spinoff series).
The Batman: Bad Blood DVD/Blu-Ray, out this Tuesday, will feature a sneak peek of Justice League vs. Teen Titans, with the full movie out in spring 2016.
