Originally announced last month, Dreamworks officially released the title of the new Voltron series on Netflix. The Voltron Force will once again ride into battle in Voltron: Legendary Defender

Taking the cue from the original title of Voltron: Defender of the Universe and how Voltron was considered a "legend" in the original intro, naming it Voltron: Legendary Defender makes a ton of sense. The Nerdist exclusively revealed the logo and teaser poster of the series Monday afternoon.

There aren't many details as far as release date or even casting. This would be the fourth incarnation of the Voltron series, replacing the 2010 Voltron Force series that lasted only one season.

So fans, what would you like from this Voltron series? Let us know in the comments.

Yes. Yes. and yes. Btw, the Dynamite comics re-telling of Voltron a few years back was/is awesome. Prince Lotor was actually a human at one time .Sorry for the spoiler. One concern: the cost. How can a TV network afford the pricey CGI associated with the 5 lions , Robeasts & space sequences without it looking cheap?

  1. I wouldn't mind them continuing on from the last Voltron series. I might be in the minority, but I think the ability for the Lions to switch out into the middle was a pretty cool new addition.

  2. This is going to be a Netflix original like Knights of Sidonia, so you don't have to worry about quality of the CGI.  The only thing we have to worry about is the story. But again I really liked the story in Knights of Sidonia so there is hope.
