Kurt Russell Confirmed For Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 - Kurt Russell

Production on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has officially begun in Atlanta, Ga, and with that announcement comes the official cast listing.

Along with familiar faces returning from the first film, several new cast members have been added. The highest profile new addition is Kurt Russell, who had been rumored previously but is now confirmed. The press release does not name Russell’s character.

Other new additions to the cast are Pom Klementieff (Oldboy), Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby, Everest), and Chris Sullivan (The Knick, The Drop).

Returning cast members include Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket, Michael Rooker as Yondu, Karen Gillan as Nebula, and Sean Gunn as Kraglin.

Please be the Starlord! He would crush it as the charming but ruthless father of Quill. Let's cross our fingers.

  1. He won't be J'son from the comics, Gunn confirmed that much.

  2. Marvel killing it once again with great casting. This is going to be epic

Man, I'd take it. My money is on Eros (Starfox) though, Thanos' brother.
