Stan Lee To Make His Final Canadian Appearance

Stan Lee has announced that Fan Expo Canada will be his final Canadian appearance. The 93-year-old creator remains in good health and spirits, but wanted to make sure his appearance at the September show in Toronto was a special one.

“I want to make it dramatic and not just another visit,” Lee told the Toronto Sun. “If it’s my last one, it means something.”

Lee explained that he doesn’t know how much longer he’ll be able to travel the convention circuit, and that he wants to make sure he goes out with a bang.

“It’s so pleasant to go somewhere where people like you and want to hear what you have to say,” he says. “It’s very flattering. But I’m 93 years old. I don’t know how much longer I’ll be able to do it. I want to make this one big event.”

Fan Expo Canada takes place Sept. 1-4, 2016 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

As thrilled as I am he is still doing well and able to make appearances, this saddens me greatly. It is ushering in the inevitable...

the mans 93 and in good health if he died in the morning what about it he had a great run

  1. At 93yo, all that traveling can take it's toll (heck, even younger). Stan is always as cordial and enthusiastic with his last visitor at a convention as he is with his first. I plan on visiting with him again at Dallas Comic-Con in June, and hope that it isn't the last time. Stan is one of the best things to happens to 3 or 4 generations of us, and we all dread the day that he has to slow things down further.
