10 Cloverfield Lane IMAX Featurette Released

When you think of IMAX, you typically think of films with epic landscapes and larger than life creatures. These are aspects of a film that having an enormous screen would certainly enhance.

Director Dan Trachtenberg doesn't think that scale is the only advantage IMAX can give. In 10 Cloverfield Lane, IMAX allows the film to give you a true sense of being underground with these characters and increasing the sense of confinement.

"I'm someone who believes that the size of a movie isn't just in outdoor wide shots, that a movie can feel huge even in the most confined spaces, and we took a lot of inspiration from the great sub movies like The Hunt For Red October and Crimson Tide and these movies that are also in confined locations but are some of the most intense and awesome action movies."

Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who plays Michelle in the film, added "I don't want to give it away, but I think there is a lot of reasons as to why the IMAX is the place you want to see this movie.

10 Cloverfield Lane releases on March 11th.
