Chadwick Boseman recently said he did a lot of research for his role as Black Panther. The actor will portray the character in Captain America: Civil War, and has some pretty intense fights in the second trailer. While most of his scenework that's been revealed thus far features Black Panther and Winter Soldier locked in battle, he does eventually properly join #TeamIronMan, if the posters and other promotional material is any indication.

Of course, the Avengers aren't the only team Black Panther has been a part of in the pages of Marvel Comics, and Boseman showed off his knowledge a bit during today's post-trailer Tumblr Q&A.

"If Black Panther were to join any superhero group besides Avengers, where would you want him to be?" the question asked.

"Well...he was with the Fantastic Four. So... -CB" he answered, simply.

For now, that's a comics-only proposition. The Fantastic Four and related properties are firmly entrenched at 20th Century Fox for film work, and really, don't we all want Black Panther to just stand on his own for the forseeable future?

Captain America: Civil War hits theaters May 6, 2016, and Black Panther is planned for a February 16, 2018 release.
