Are These the Types for Pokemon Sun/Moon's Starters' Final Evolutions?

Last week, the Pokemon Company officially announced Rowlet, Litten and Popplio, the three starter Pokemon for Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon, the new Pokemon games out this fall. Now, a YouTube blogger claims he has discovered the final evolution types for two of those Pokemon. "Pdwinnall", a YouTuber out of the United Kingdom, posted a video earlier today explaining an exploit in the Japanese Pokemon website that gives a clue to what Litten and Popplio's final evolutions are.

As the video explains, the "Type" for each Pokemon is represented by a different icon, which are named "Icon1" through "Icon5". However, "Icon3", the icon between Rowlet's Flying type icon and Litten's Fire icon, is missing. When Pdwinnall used Google Chrome to pull up "Icon3" on the Japanese Pokemon webpage, an icon for Ground type came up. Similarly, "Icon6" was a Fighting type icon.

By Pdwinnall's reasoning, this means that Litten's final Evolution will be Fire/Ground type and Popplio's final evolution will be Water/Fighting. Litten's Fire/Ground pairing is similar to Camerupt, a volcanic camel Pokemon first seen in Hoenn. As Hawaii, the Alola region's real world counterpart, has plenty of volcanoes, it would make sense to introduce a second volcano-based Pokemon. Popplio's final evolution type of Water/Fighting is an unusual combination. Right now, only two other Pokemon, Poliwrath and Keldeo, are Water/Fighting Pokemon.
