Pokemon: Shaymin Distribution Begins July 1

It's the beginning of a new month, so that means a new Mythical Pokemon is now available. Pokemon Trainers can now get Shaymin, a Generation IV mythical Pokemon, by using the Mystery Gift function in Pokemon X, Pokemon Y, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire.

Shaymin is unique in that it has two Formes, a "Land Forme" and a "Sky Forme". While in Land Forme, Shaymin resembles a grassy hedgehog (and is a Grass Type Pokemon), while the Sky Forme resembles a small deer (and is Grass/Flying). Shaymin switches Formes using a Gracidea flower, an item that can only be found while having a Shaymin on your team. The Gracidea is available in Snowbelle City in Pokemon X/Y and from the Berry Master in Route 123 in Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire.

This marks the first time Shaymin has been available to US trainers since 2010, when players could transfer Shaymin from the Pokemon Ranger game. The 20th Anniversary Shaymin comes with its signature move Seed Flare, Aromatherapy, Substitute, and Energy Ball and is at Level 100.
