Pokemon Go is finally here...if you live in Australia. The highly anticipated "augmented reality" Pokemon game is available for Australian residents to download for iOS and Android devices. It's expected that the rest of the world will get Pokemon Go in the next 24 hours or so, especially as Niantic Labs (which developed the game with Nintendo) released an online instruction manual/FAQ for the game on their website.

Pokemon GO uses a smartphone's GPS and camera to let players "catch" Pokemon in the real world. Although the game features gym battles, PokeCenters and other features from the core Pokemon game, Nintendo and Niantic designed the game with an emphasis on movement and exploration, creating noticeable differences in Pokemon GO.

Nintendo previously teased that Pokemon GO would be out in July at E3, as they announced that the Pokemon GO Plus, a device that allows players to catch Pokemon and collect items without pulling out their phones, would be available to purchase by the end of the month. When Niantic ended the beta last week, many fans expected that Pokemon GO would be out shortly, although no one thought it would be out this soon.

Pokemon GO is free to play, with optional microtransactions. Stay tuned to ComicBook.com for updates on when Pokemon GO is released for the rest of the world.
