On Sunday, to celebrate World Emoji Day, Sony Animation released a new video revealing that Silicon Valley and Deadpool star, T.J. Miller, will star in their upcoming feature, EmojiMovie: Express Yourself, an animated film based on the digital images/icons people commonly use today to represent emotions, ideas, or activities.

The video itself is a fake-audition in which Miller uses his animated face to recreate some of the more popular emojis, such as happy, sad, kissy face, and nerd, as well as a lesser used one for fried shrimp. Miller expresses his excitement for the film, but that enthusiasm dissipates quickly when he's told it'll be animated, not live-action.

Miller will voice the main character, Gene. EW describes him as "an exuberant, optimistic emoji that was supposed to be a 'meh' emoji, just like his parents. However, he was born with a glitch that gives him multiple expressions that are out of his control."

Miller has previously lent his voice to How to Train Your Dragon, Big Hero 6 and High School USA. He is currently filming Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One.

EmojiMovie: Express Yourself will offer a surprising and comic take on the secret world of our phones and the little characters that have become daily necessities in global interpersonal communication.

The film is being directed by Anthony Leondis ("Igor"), based on script Leondis co-wrote with Eric Siegel ("Men at Work"). It's being produced by Michelle Raimo Kouyate.

EmojiMovie: Express Yourself is coming to theaters August 11, 2017!
