Nostalgia is a powerful thing, as shown by the historically strong sales of the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers comic book. During Boom's panel at SDCC, the publisher confirmed that their Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers comic series is their best selling title ever.

According to Diamond's most recent sales data, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers was the 75th best selling comic in June. That might not seem like much, but the series was one of the only two books in the top 75 not published by Marvel, DC, or Image. The other series? The new Power Rangers Pink spinoff series that focuses on the Pink Ranger.

Written by Kyle Higgins and illustrated by Hendry Prasetya, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers focuses on the original team, plus the Green Ranger Tommy. The comic also features a backup focusing on Bulk and Skull written by Steve Orlando and illustrated by Colin Howell.

Boom confirmed that more Power Rangers comics were on the way, as the publisher hoped to take advantage of the upcoming Power Rangers movie. The publisher declined to give details, but they did issue an interesting "No comment" when asked if they had thought about making comics based on other Power Rangers shows.
