San Diego Comic Con doesn't disappoint, and Marvel made sure the convention kept busy as one of their panels just ended. And, guys, it was a doozy. Marvel has released the teaser trailer for its The Defenders series on Netflix.

The trailer features Nirvana's 'Come As You Are' as a collage of familiar images transform across the screen. A voice asks, "You think the four of you can save New York? You can't even save yourselves?" Of course, Daredevil fans will recognize the voice as that of Stick, Matthew Murdock's temperamental mentor with plenty of ulterior motives.

In sequence, the teaser clip references Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. Fans are already freaking out as they've spotted a handwritten note written over one of the frame's newspaper backgrounds as the question, "Who is Danny Rand?" can be seen. If you want to know who Rand is, ask Finn Jones as the British actor was cast to play the martial arts expert.

The clip was uploaded to Netflix's official US & Canada channel, and the streaming site recently tweeted out the video as well. They posted the clip alongside the message, "Smells like team spirit," and pretty much any fan can appreciate that well-suited pun. Netflix also tagged their Youtube video with a brief caption which reads, "Marvel's The Defenders will unite Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, as they face their biggest threat yet."

Little is known about the series so far as fans are still waiting for Jessica Jones' second season and Daredevil's third season to head underway. It's likely, however, that Daredevil may resume production following The Defenders' debut. As of now, The Defenders is set to begin shooting once Iron Fist gets underway.

The Defenders will hit Netflix sometime during 2017. Keep checking here for the latest updates on the show!
