The heavily anticipated ‘Shin Godzilla’, which is also known as Godzilla Resurgence, now has an official stateside release date, and you can view an exclusive photo from the upcoming project in the gallery.

The new photo captures what it feels like for a normal sized human being to at the mercy of this walking Goliath as he makes his way through the city in the most destructive way possible. It must be highlighted in the mysterious monster handbook.

‘Shin Godzilla’ will hit theaters in North America on October 11 and will stay through October 18. Fans will have more than 440 theaters to choose from, and you can pre-order tickets starting on September 9th. Funimation will also host two premiere events for the film on October 3 (Los Angeles) and October 5 (New York) right before the start of New York Comic Con.
“Movie audiences can look forward to a great time watching ‘Shin Godzilla’ this October,” said Mike DuBoise, EVP and COO of Funimation. “A larger than life monster like Godzilla has to be experienced on the big screen. ‘Shin Godzilla’ is the 29th film in the franchise produced by Toho, a franchise that has been around for 62 years.
