Wonderful Wizard Of Oz To Get Second Printing

The very first issue of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz from Marvel Comics has sold out at the distribution level.  In order to meet reader demand for the comic, Marvel has announced that they will be doing a second printing of the first issue.

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is an eight issue mini-series that tells the story of Kansas girl Dorothy’s trip to the land of Oz.  In Oz, Dorothy meets witches, Munchkins, a living Scarecrow, and a host of other characters.  The sereies is adapted from the classic L. Frank Baum story.  The Wonderful Wizard of Oz #1 was written by Eric Shanower with art by Skottie Young.

The second print of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz #1 is schedule to hit comic book stores on February 11, 2009.
