While Comic-Con 2009, kicking off in mere days in San Diego, California, will certainly have many reveals, exclusives and major announcements, Marvel has already promised the unveiling of a major project with Japanese anime studio, Madhouse. Teaming up with the Japanimation giant, Marvel will have four new versions of some of their original and most well-known heroes.The Marvel Animation Panel, running from 4:30pm-5:30pm on Friday, July 24th, will unveil the teaser trailers for both the Iron Man and Wolverine versions of these ventures. Acclaimed writer Warren Ellis will lead the panel discussion and add his thoughts on his contribution to these exciting and inspired re-inventions of Marvel's heroes. The television series debut for these shows is expected in 2010, and, according to Marvel's website, the Japanese channel Animax will carry them. Fans of anime will certainly enjoy seeing these reimagined versions of some of their favorite characters, as they will be redone in such a way as to marry the Western origin of these characters with traditional motifs and the animation style popular in much of Japan.
