Here’s yet another reason why the summer of 2012 might go down as the best summer ever in the history of movie making. Not only do we have several top-notch superhero movies to look forward to, but Prometheus looks to be one of the best science fiction movies to come along in a long time.
Of course, that should come as no surprise since the director is Ridley Scott, who gave us such classics as Alien and Blade Runner. The short description of Prometheus is “a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.”
20th Century Fox has just released a brand new international trailer for Prometheus, and it is just as amazing as all the previously released trailer. Be warned that the trailer plays like almost a mini-version of the movie, and some are complaining that it reveals quite a few spoilers.
The new Prometheus trailer clocks in at close to three minutes long, and one of the spoilers is a fairly good look at the aliens. Charlize Theron’s character Meredith Vickers is also featured quite a bit in the trailer. It’s definitely hinted that there is a little something sinister about Ms. Vickers. Prometheus is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 8, 2012.
