"I think Odin will have something to say about what happened in The Avengers," movie villain Tom Hiddleston told ComicBook.com in an interview that will be published tomorrow morning. He was talking about Thor 2, the third film in which he'll play Loki and the first time Loki himself won't be the central villain in one of those films. Returning to Asgard following the events of The Avengers, Loki will apparently have to answer to his adoptive father for the crimes he committed in Thor and The Avengers, but that won't be the film's focus. In an interview with MTV News, Thor star Chris Hemsworth said that he hoped the sequel would reach out beyond just Asgard and Earth, focusing on other realms. Asked whether he expected the sequel to play more in intergalactic settings than on Earth, he told MTV that he thinks and hopes so. He also praised the choice of director Alan Taylor, a veteran of HBO's mega-hit Game of Thrones, to direct the sequel, saying that he's well-equipped to bring the movie where Hemsworth wants to see it go. "[Game of Thrones] had a real mythical element to it, but it was rooted in such an organic and tangible world," Hemsworth told MTV. "I think Asgard could really benefit from that sort of a grittier, aged feel to it and not so ethereal." Both actors said that they haven't yet seen the script, although Hiddleston suggested that the principal cast does know the basic story. Thor 2 is expected in theaters on November 15, 2013.
