Fans got their first good look at the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series from Nickelodeon today, featuring looks at all four of the turtles, a new interpretation of Shredder, along with comic book-style art at the intro and a brief look at Splinter.
It does look as though they’ll be playing up the humor and playing down the graphic violence by using a kind of stutter-stepping animation style that skips over most of the actual fighting. That’s an interesting choice, and one that could make some parents more comfortable with the series without sacrificing its appeal to younger viewers or the hardcore fans.
