Back in May, one of the first official TV commercials to air for The Dark Knight Rises was actually a mashup with the NBA playoffs. The commercial featured scenes of rioting from The Dark Knight Rises mixed with scenes of NBA players making baskets.
Now, there is a new mashup video tying together The Dark Knight Rises and NBA basketball, but this one’s not official. A Youtube user with the handle MaccNba has mashed together the sound of The Dark Knight Rises trailer with footage of Chicago Bulls player Derrick Rose.
The Dark Knight Rises mashup video is called Derrick Rose – The Red Knight Rises. It’s a nicely done tie-in as the video focuses on Derrick Rose bouncing back from a knee injury. The video also casts Lebron James in the role of Bane.
