Last year, when The New 52 was the relaunch du jour, Ivan Reis was the man to draw the reimagined Justice League, in their new costumes, for the New York Comic Con poster. Well, this year he's rumored to be heading to Justice League as its new artist, so maybe his schedule was too busy to contribute to the poster even if they asked. Instead, it's Marvel's big relaunch/renumbering that's going to be the convention's most ubiquitous promotional image--in the form of The Avengers by Steve McNiven. With Iron Man's new armor, Captain America's new costume and The Incredible Indestructible Hulk's odd armor, it's really only Thor who doesn't seem dramatically different, but maybe that's because he's been reinvented so many times in the last ten or twenty years that it's almost a non-event when it happens. The New York Comic Con will take place from October 11 to the 14 at the Javits Center in Manhattan, and ComicBook.com will be there to cover it all weekend long!
