Yesterday was the first day of principal photography on Thor: The Dark World, the Marvel Studios sequel that’s been constructing sets and having rehearsals and all those other things that movies do since just before San Diego Comic-Con International.
While there don’t appear to be any shots of the main stars floating around the Internet just yet, the action has clearly begun, with these images (via Comic Book Movie) of helmeted warriors on location at Bourne Wood in England.
This is where Thor: The Dark World has been setting up camp with an elaborate series of domes and stone structures, widely believed to be the set where villain Chris Eccleston (Malekith) and his army of Dark Elves will set up camp.
