Michonne Statue From McFarlane Toys Revealed

Over at MTV Geek, Todd McFarlane has unveiled the first in what he suggests will be a series of statues built around Robert Kirkman's massively successful zombie drama The Walking Dead from Image Comics and Skybound. "People have been asking us about one of the big characters from the book--Michonne, the zombie slayer," explained McFarlane, saying that the statue--which depicts Michonne taking out a pair of zombies--is the first-ever multi-character statue from McFarlane Toys. Robert Kirkman will personally sign each one, and they'll come with a certificate of authenticity signed by McFarlane. The statue itself also pivots on its base, so that Kirkmans' autograph can always be displayed, regardless of what angle fans want to display the statue at. "Michonne is a very cool character – she's definitely the most action-oriented character from the series, and I really liked the idea of letting the McFarlane team run wild, and do their own take on Michonne, something that wasn't necessarily completely accurate with the way Michonne exists – having two swords, and just going at it and doing something that's a lot more over-the-top than what we usually do with The Walking Dead.
