Fantastic Four: Days of Future Past by John Byrne

Sure, it's only a commission from a few years ago, but the Tumblr John Byrne Draws has just called the image at left to the attention of the Internet, something that 20th Century Fox and Mark Millar should be able to enjoy, since this is essentially their Marvel Universe at work.

A nod to Byrne's own classic cover to Uncanny X-Men #141, this commission shows The Thing and Franklin Richards (a bit older than we're used to seeing him) facing off against an unseen enemy. Once upon a time, that image would have been Kitty Pryde and Wolverine.

X-Men: Days of Future Past, the story from which the original cover is derived, is currently being adapted into a feature film at 20th Century Fox by X-Men and X-Men 2 director Bryan Singer. The studio also has Chronicle's Josh Trank helming a Fantastic Four reboot.
