LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Images Released

Warner Bros. Interactive have released new character images and concept art for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, the first LEGO video game to feature Marvel characters. In LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, players can unlock dozens of characters from all corners of the Marvel Universe, including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Wolverine, Captain America, the Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Deadpool, Loki and more. There will reportedly be more than 100 characters in all. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is being developed by TT Games and will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U and Windows PC, as well as the Nintendo DS and PlayStation Vita. A similar game featuring a number of DC superheroes was released last year, branded under the LEGO Batman banner. A direct-to-video animated movie based on that game is coming in May. You can check out the images below. It's interesting to note that the designs on The Avengers seem inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while the remaining characters (like Spider-Man and Wolverine) are more comics-friendly instead. That suggests that, in spite of DC Comics owner Warner Bros. having the LEGO license, Marvel Studios/Disney seem to have signed off on the film on some level.
