Sony Debunks Ghostbusters 3 Animated Rumors

Earlier today, a rumor started making the rounds on the Internet that Sony was interested in pursuing Ghostbusters 3 as an animated feature film. Doubting there was anything to it, and lacking any further details in the original report, ComicBook.com reached out to some of our sources for comment--but we didn't even get responses back yet before an official comment came out of Sony that the rumors weren't rooted in truth. "We talked to the studio, which said that the report is not true. They continue to develop a new live-action version and there is no animated movie in the works," reported ComingSoon.net.
