If there are two things that have garnered a ton of fan support since it was announced that Disney was doing a new trilogy of Star Wars sequels, it's that Joss Whedon should be involved, and that the original cast should come back. Strangely enough, those two things actually don't work together. "You know, I wouldn't go back, I'd go forward," Whedon recently told Digital Spy. "I would want to create characters that would resonate the way that they did." "Not that I don't want to see them, and I wouldn't be excited to," he explained, "but I also feel like I would want to explore a very different part of that universe." He added that a Han Solo standalone film didn't appeal to him at all, saying "Some things may not be rebooted." You can check out the video embedded below.
