Mackenzie Gray

Man Of Steel is a movie filled with mysteries. Will there be other superheroes from DC Comics referenced? Will Lex Luthor be appearing in the movie? What role is Mackenzie Gray playing? Mackenzie Gray's role is so mysterious that Warner Bros. hasn't even given him a fake name to cover up his true identity. In fact, if not for Mackenzie Gray making a passing reference to being in Man Of Steel, then probably no one would even know that he's in the film. In a new interview with JTM Games, Mackenzie Gray has finally opened up and talked a little more about Man Of Steel, while providing some very vague hints as to what role he might be playing. When asked about his take on the Man Of Steel, Mackenzie Gray said, "I'm not allowed to say what I'm playing as, it's a big secret so I'll keep that one to myself." Could the fact that Mackenzie Gray refers to his role as "what" instead of "who" be a hint? There are rumored to be plenty of robotic roles in Man Of Steel. Could he be playing one of the Kryptonian service robots? Or could he be part of General Zod's rumored robotic army? Most of the rumors circulating about Mackenzie Gray seem to focus on him playing a mystery villain. Since the LexCorp Tower was revealed in one of the Man Of Steel trailers, there have been lots of rumors that Mackenzie Gray will play Lex Luthor. Mackenzie Gray played a Lex Luthor clone in Smallville, and Lex Luthor would be the most obvious role. However, other theories suggest that Mackenzie Gray could be playing Braniac or another member of Zod's army like Nam-Ek. In addition to referring to his role as a "what," Mackenzie Gray did provide a couple of other potential clues. In regards to how long he prepared for his role, Mackenzie Gray said, "About a month, and then I went to Chicago to meet with Zack and to talk about the role. It wasn't really a lot of time because the script wasn't released yet, you had to be there to get your script. It was pretty fast, in fact, they didn't even e-mail me the name of my role. I had to go to the set to find out." The fact that Mackenzie Gray spent a month preparing for the role seems to indicate it's probably not just an after the credits cameo, but that he has some speaking and action parts in the movie. The fact that director Zack Snyder wouldn't even e-mail him the name of his role also suggests that it must be an established character from the DC Comics universe that would have caused a commotion if the name of the role was revealed. However, it's also curious that Mackenzie Gray could spend a month preparing for the role without it being obvious what the name of his role was.
