Joss Whedon Iron Man 3 premiere

With the Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series officially picked up by ABC, director Joss Whedon decided it was finally time to join Twitter. Of course, Joss Whedon has tweeted before through Twitter accounts related to some of his past projects, but this new Twitter account is his first own personal account. The official Joss Whedon Twitter account is located @jossactual, and the account has been confirmed to actually be Joss Whedon. For his first tweet, Whedon tweeted, "It's me! Joss! My own account! No more hiding under studio skirts! I'm FREE! @MuchAdoFilm @AgentsofSHIELD @Marvel @roadsidetweets #free" For his second tweet, Whedon tweeted, "MY account! I got strong opinions! I'm gettin' POLITICAL! (Heads up, LEMURS.) And making wry observations about mundane stuff! #airlines." It been a growing trend for movie directors to tease upcoming projects via Twitter. Amazing Spider-Man 2 director Marc Webb has been offering almost daily updates about filming of the Spider-Man sequel. X-Men Days Of Future Past director Bryan Singer has often been breaking casting news about the new X-Men film via Twitter. And The Wolverine director James Mangold has been sharing photos and posters from The Wolverine via Twitter. Here's hoping that Joss Whedon starts sharing some Avengers 2 news and announcement through his new Twitter account soon.
