Constantine New 52

After having completely taken over the movie industry, comic books are now in process of taking over television. According to Deadline, Warner Bros. TV and DC Comics have sold a Constantine TV series based on DC Comics' John Constantine to NBC. The Constantine TV series will be written and executive produced by The Mentalist executive producer Daniel Cerone and Man Of Steel writer David S. Goyer. In the comic books, John Constantine is a con man, magician, and occult detective. John Constantine first appeared in The Saga Of The Swamp Thing #37 in June, 1985. In 2005, a Constantine movie was released starring Keanu Reeves in the title role. Guillermo del Toro has also indicated that a different version of Constantine will be in the Justice League Dark movie. No information has been revealed as to when NBC plans to add Constantine to their schedule, but with the growing popularity of comic book TV series, it would be surprising if the show is not put on the fast track for a 2014 launch.
