Remember when actors had to be talked into taking roles in comic book movies because they were afraid it might result in them being typecast? Now, comic book movie roles have become so coveted that actors often actively campaign for roles. Earlier tonight, actor Matthew Modine tweeted a photo of Doctor Strange, along with the text, "#Marvel I'd like to play #DoctorStrange - let's make this happen." Ever since Modine made the tweet, his fans have been retweeting the message all over social media. Of course, Modine has already had a small role in a comic book movie. Modine played Deputy Commissioner Peter Foley in The Dark Knight Rises. However, it appears as if Modine is ready to jump from the DC Comics Universe to the Marvel Comics Universe for the opportunity to play a title role. What do you think?
