Rocket Raccoon #1 San Diego Comic Con Variant Revealed

Marvel Comics has revealed the San Diego Comic-Con exclusive cover for Rocket Raccoon #1, drawn by Bone and Rasl creator Jeff Smith.

"How cool is it to see Jeff Smith — the creator of the seminal Bone — render Marvel's SDCC exclusive variant cover, featuring this year's breakout comic character?  Pretty cool," says Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso.

Rocket Raccoon #1 is written and drawn by Skottie Young. The Jeff Smith variant cover, featuring Rocket and his buddy Groot, will be available exclusively at the Marvel Comics booth at San Diego Comic-Con International. The cover is the Eisner-winning artist's first work for Marvel Comics.

Only 5,000 copies of Jeff Smith's cover will be made available, at $10 each.
