It looks like all of that working out Stephen Amell has been talking about on social media for the past couple of months has paid off.
Amell shared the first photo from the set of Arrow's fifth season which recently began production and, as he promised during a Facebook live chat, he is shirtless and look to be thrown into an action.

Closing season four, Amell's Oliver Queen promised he would head to Russia to free Taiana's village from oppressive rule, sparking speculation that the Bratva would come into play. Based on the image Amell has shared, we can assume he has found some of the darker corners of the Russian crime ring in the last year of his journey before heading back to Star City and becoming the character we met at the start of season one.
Amell will be joined by several new cast members in Arrow's fifth season. Josh Segarra has joined as Vigilante, Rick Gonzalez will play Wild Dog, Madison McLaughling will be Artmies, and The Walking Dead alum Chad L. Coleman will play gangster character Tobias Church.
A premiere date for Arrow's fifth season has not yet been announced.
