This weekend’s EVO Tournament has been filled with a number of epic announcements, but there’s no way that Tekken 7 was going to be left out in the cold, and Bandai Namco followed through with the debut of a new character that will be coming via downloadable content – and he’s a favorite from the SNK Fatal Fury series!
Geese Howard, the baddie who first made his appearance in the original Fatal Fury well over two and a half decades ago, made his debut in a new trailer for Tekken 7, where he’s pitted against Heihachi and other characters, putting them in their place with a number of powerhouse moves.
You can watch the trailer above to get an idea of how Geese plays, as well as checking out a couple of his signature taunts, including “Bring it on! I’ll destroy you all!” and “Give in to your fears!”
Howard appears to be part of the plan for Tekken 7’s downloadable content, alongside the previous announcement that Tekken Bowl would be making a return to the game. No other characters have been confirmed just yet, but it’s likely we’ll see a few more announced in the months ahead.
Tekken 7 has already proven to be a great game with crossover power, with Akuma from Street Fighter legend confirmed for the game some time ago, and proving to be a capable powerhouse in his own right. No doubt someone like Geese will be able to give him a fight to remember – amongst the others that will step up to the challenge.
In addition to Geese, a new stage, Geese Tower, was also revealed for the game, and is likely to be packaged in with his character upon release, which is likely to be sometime later this year. Pricing hasn’t been revealed just yet.
