Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will end tomorrow night with an exclusive, new clip from Avengers: Age of Ultron, the show's official Facebook page revealed today.
This comes, of course, on the heels of the original plan to debut the Age of Ultron trailer during the show -- a plan that misfired because a low-resolution version of the trailer was leaked, and Marvel Studios ultimately decided to drop the official version early and give S.H.I.E.L.D. something else to make up for it instead.
The last time such a strategy was employed -- for last year's Captain America: The Winter Soldier -- it was much closer to the film's release date, and the events of the film had a profound impact on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Expect a lot of speculation about what, if anything, the clip attached to tomorrow's episode could mean for the series going forward.
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. Avengers: Age of Ultron opens May 1.
