New posters for Alice Through The Looking Glass were released online Wednesday. Moviefone posted the posters to twitter, and thanks to the time-travel theme of the film, the images are of different-aged versions of the characters from the first film.

The Tweedles are mere children, the Cheshire Cat is just a kitten, but Absolem isn’t a younger form – he’s an older version – no longer a caterpillar, now a butterfly/moth. Curiouser and curiouser, no?
Absolem, notably, is voiced by Alan Rickman, in what turns out to be his final film role after his death earlier this year.
