Driver Playing Pokemon GO Crashes Into A School

Just days after road signs began popping up in Australia telling gamers, "Don't Drive And Pokemon," a teenage driver has now crashed his car into a school while playing the game. Oh, when will we ever learn?

The 19-year-old was reportedly trying to catch a pokemon when he lost control of his car in Melbourne, crashing his vehicle into St. Francis Xavier College around 7:00 PM last night. The whole fiasco occurred when the unnamed driver overshot a curb, smashed through the area's fencing, and then crashed into the school building where he wound up in an empty classroom. Thankfully, no students were in the secondary college at that time, so there were no injuries associated with the crash.

Poking fun at the fairly serious incident, local police told The Age that, "The 19-year-old did not level up nor collect any stardust or candies only debris from the crash. Any 'Poke balls', eggs or potions the driver may have had remaining only attracted police, leaving the wild Pokemon for another day."

Unsurprisingly, the police's spokesperson Julie-Anne Newman said the driver can expect to face charges related to property damage and his 'Chancey' driving.

Sadly, this is just one of many accidents which have so far been associated with the app. In Baltimore, dashboard footage caught a man accidentally crashing his car into a police cruiser. And, of course, the driver had been busy playing Pokemon GO during the time of the incident. Other ridiculous situations such as shootings and petty theft have also been related to the game because, unfortunately, many people have been ignoring the app's warning to be aware of your surroundings.

So, remember guys: Don't Drive and Pokemon! Save a school, and more importantly, save a life!
