Netflix is unloading a lot of baggage come November. It’s always a sad time at the end of each month for dedicated Netflix users because we hate to see those titles we love disappear. And the “leaving” list tends to be the majority of the best picks in the library.

5. Angel Heart
Written and directed by Alan Parker, Angel Heart is a movie that is definitely not for everyone, but is still a gruesome classic. Both Mickey Rourke and Robert DeNiro lock in top-notch performances, with DeNiro being especially chilling.ย
This cat and mouse detective thriller is aggressive to say the least, but it delivers with an engaging twist that sets it apart from others. Not to mention, we get to see Mickey Rourke in his glory days which is always a wanted thing.ย

4. Almost Famous
Cameron Crowe’s classic, true tale about himself that shows the underbelly of the rocker life and being on the road. Its blistering examples of lives lived lonely is meshed beautifully with a camaraderie that is hard to find in movies today.
Do not pass the chance up to watch this one again. Philip Seymour Hoffman’s role in the movie is reason alone to watch this movie.ย

3. E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial
An all-time classic that strikes the most nostalgic of chords, E.T. is one of Steven Spielberg’s most intriguing sci-fi films. Notice that a lot of the scenes are shot to exclude the top half of grown ups, as Spielberg wanted to the film to visually represent the perspective of a curious child.ย
It is sad to see such a classic leave Netflix, but at again, we have 10 days to sit back, pop some popcorn, and see E.T. mumble those famous words, “Phone home.”

2. Into The Wild
Sean Penn adapted the screenplay and directed this beautifully shot movie. Based on a true story, Into the Wild features Emile Hersche battling the elements and seeking the truth in a career-best performance.
For lovers of the wild, nature, the road, and vagabonding, Into the Wild is the perfect choice. We get the chance to see some stunning landscapes, while also getting to see a screenplay that features some honestly written characters.

1. Major League
Noooooo! Netflix will officially be giving one of the greatest (and funniest) sports movies the boot. The irony? The Cleveland Indians have finally made it to the World Series.ย
If you haven’t seen this classic, shut down the computer and watch it immediately. From Wild Thing to Willie Mays Hays, every character in this adult sports comedy brings something hilarious to the table.ย
