The time has come! Goodreads has released their nominees for Best Graphic Novels & Comics of 2016, and the competition looks stiff. A slew of this year's best series have made it onto the list, so it is time you voted for your favorite.

After all, it is election season.

Looking at the list, you will surely see a name or six that you recognize. Several nominated stories come from pre-existing series like Image's The Wicked + The Divine or Marvel's Ms. Marvel. Others are indie efforts like Rosalie Lightning and Ghost. There is even a manga title included in this year's list as Ichigo Takano's Orange made the cut.

These nominees are all selected as part of the site's opening round, so further voting will occur to narrow down the award's recipient. The graphic novels and comics subcategory is one of several looked at by the site.
