Alien: Covenant Footage Reactions Promise Better Prequel Than Prometheus

Alien: Covenant has caused quite a stir since being announced. Sir Ridley Scott’s first attempt at a prequel to his classic sci-fi/horror film Alien resulted in the highly divisive experience of Prometheus; just fans were ready to move on from that misstep (and onto Neil Blomkamp’s sequel film, Alien 5) Scott reappeared with designs on Covenant.

It’s been confusing as to how Alien: Covenant will both finish off the story started in Prometheus and bring things around to a proper tie-in with Alien, but we have gotten fun teases like Michael Fassbender playing two android characters in the film, and a new Xenomorph being revealed.

Still, fans are understandably skeptical and want to see more before they put their faith in Alien: Covenant. For initial impressions of the film, check out reactions from a footage preview event held in NYC recently.
